METROPOLITANA MILANESE IS A FOUNDING PARTNER IN THE AQUALAB FOUNDATION: BIOENERGY WATER LABORATORY
Set up in January 2010, AquaLAB is the result of our awareness as to how important it is to have a steady supply of safe drinking water and our orientation toward applying bioenergy techniques in the Lombardy region. Beside Metropolitana Milanese, the other founding members are the Milan University, the Milano-Bicocca University, the Luigi Bocconi Commercial University, the Milan Polytechnic, and the Abbiategrasso Municipality.
By combining technical, scientific, and operational skills, the Foundation acts as a reference point for programming, planning, and carrying out actions and works in the field of water resources and bioenergy. Training and scientific information activities among users and the general public is also planned on topics such as use of water resources and production of energy from renewable sources, with particular attention to environmental sustainability.
The Foundation will be based at Metropolitana Milanese s.p.a. at 8, Via del Vecchio Politecnico, Milan.
