Space for audiences

The stage

The main stage is floored with tapped Douglas fir strips, as is the side stage, the area intended for the construction and preparation of scenery. The side stage is served by special hoists allowing the unloading of materials and equipment directly from the outside and is separated from the main stage by two fire curtains. Access to the theatre is through a staircase on Largo Greppi square. Disabled users can enter by means of a ramp from Via Rivoli. Across the ticketing area is the main foyer with an atrium and exhibition areas and from there, using stairs and elevators, the upper level is reached, with access to the gallery, and the lower level, with access to the stalls. The false ceiling, which is divided into sound reflecting and absorbing sections, consists of a modular wooden structure with an area of about 750 m2, and is overhung by a metal structure with catwalks for staff to operate the stage lights. The auditorium contains 404 seats in the gallery and 546 in the stalls.
