Interventions on local transport plans

Lugano-milan line through the gotthard tunnel

The study was made by Gruppo Clas, Centro Studi PIM and Metropolitana Milanese at the request of the Lombardy Regional Council, General Transport Directorate. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the transport, environmental and socio-economic issues regarding regional integration of the Lugano-Milan regional rail link, planned as a natural extension towards the Milan junction and the main Italian traffic routes of the Swiss Alp Transit line.

Bari

In the metropolitan area of Bari, Metropolitana Milanese has carried out a study on the transport of goods and studies on the rail network in urban areas.

Napoli

The municipal authority of Naples has entrusted Metropolitana Milanese, in collaboration with other partners, with the task of producing the City Transport Plan, which consists of defining structural, operational and regulatory measures to be taken within the urban area, in both the medium and long term. MM is also working with the technical services of the City of Naples to find a solution to the problems related to traffic density and its movement in general. Milan Metro is also involved in the role of technical coordination of the Plan.

Sardegna

Metropolitana Milanese is also involved in the General Transport Plan for Sardinia. Produced after a detailed analysis of all the problems associated with the transportation of people and goods to and from the region, this Plan has been the basis for the all the infrastructural and operational projects designed to achieve an overall improvement of the transport system. Particular attention has been paid to internal transport, increasing rail and road transport resources and developing transport mode integration, without overlooking the organisational and pricing aspects.

Siracusa

Metropolitana Milanese has overseen the preliminary design of the infrastructural works for the district of Val d’Anapo (Syracuse), which form part of the integrated plan for sustainable development of the region.
