The project has the goal to upgrade Via Ferrante Aporti, in a state of great decay, but with great prospects for development related to the implementation of the "Memorial of the Shoah", under construction as part of the railway station. Access to this museum, which has as main distinguishing feature the "Track 21" from where they rode out the deportations during the Second World War, will be through a large square of new construction called for "Edmond J. Safra". The square, which occupies a total area of ​​700 square meters, will be entirely paved in stone and concrete elements provided with seat function, but above all necessary to ensure a shatterproof effect to prevent terrorist acts. The green space, degraded due to the irregular stopping, is restored with the addition of new plants and the formation of a central path for pedestrians and cyclists, made calcestre, with seating and new lighting. The square be implemented in order to eliminate creases insurmountable irregular stopping and flower beds will be made with different shrub species. The intervention of upgrading is extended to the whole development of the street, through the reorganization of the park also along the avenue to the side opposite the Museum. The project was carried out by MM that has developed, in addition to the elements of accommodation roadway, the design for cultivation of green areas, the works related to the new public lighting system, the architecture of the square in front of the Museum, the adaptation of the system collection of rainwater and the elements for the safety of the street. In particular, vehicle access will be restricted to the square authorized users through the installation of retractable barriers with centralized control and surveillance extended to the entire street. The project had a duration of one year. In particular, the square and the routes for entry to the museum is completed in 110 days in order to ensure the accessibility of the same on the date of opening .
